This book avoids both of pitfalls. Rod Baxter's accompanying worksheet is easily customizable in setting up a Project Management Plan. The book goes on to show how to use each tool, and most importantly, shows the possible benefit from each tool and how the PM tools are logically linked to sequentially answer a logical question, which in turn drives the need for the next tool. Most PM volumes do not delineate that interaction and synergy, so the execution of the tools becomes an isolated exercise. But not so with the "Project Management for Success Handbook."
